Spalding Nat Strong Negro League Baseball
Official League Special Green & Blue Stitch Cork Center Baseball that was "Made Especially for Nat C Strong. This one is an older ball from the 1930's and was made for the Spalding Rep Nat Strong who was a primary owner and organizer of the New York Black Yankees and the Brooklyn Royal Giants, both Negro League teams. This ball has been signed by SIX players from the late 1940's Cincinnati Reds. Sweet Spot signed by Johnny Vander Meer. Also signed by Grady Hatton, Ewell Blackwell, Ray Lamanno, Bucky Walters and and I believe Ted Kluszewski. The Kluszewski signature has varnish on it and it is a tough read. Our guess is that this was the ’39 or ’40 Reds barnstorming after being in the World Series against Negro League Stars during the off-season. Forget about the autographs on the ball, we’re selling this for the rarity of the baseball itself. RARE!!!
