Shipping Information

Albersheim's offers several different options for shipping items. Please read the information below, which outlines our shipping policies and methods.

Items Shipped via UPS and FED EX:

All items that are shipped via UPS and FED EX are shipped insured. All items are insured for the full purchase amount.All items are packed and shipped by Albersheim's and are inspected before leaving our shipping warehouse. A confirmation of the shipping tracking number will be e-mailed to you. If you wish to have your items shipped using a faster (other than standard UPS ground) method, you must notify Albersheim's at the time of your order. The prices of items do not include the shipping. Please call or e-mail us to confirm your total price including shipping (On Line orders will show shipping charges at checkout). All shipping charges and the cost for packing the items are passed on to our customers. We do not ship using the US Postal service due to numerous lost and damaged packages in the past.

If you would like your merchandise shipped using a method that is not listed on this page, please call Albersheim's before ordering your merchandise. We will try to accommodate you to the best of our abilities.

Damaged Items:

Unfortunately, items do get damaged through shipping. If you receive a damaged item, please follow the following steps to insure that you will receive a full refund.

1. Please call or e-mail us ASAP
2. Keep all packing material and the items together
3. DO NOT SEND ITEMS BACK UNTIL YOU CALL US at 215-665-1953.

Albersheim's will direct you as to what to do once we have received your phone call on damaged goods. Refunds for damaged items are made once the shipping agency has reimbursed Albersheim's.

Authenticity Policy for Retail Sales

ALL AUTOGRAPHS ARE GUARANTEED GENUINE FOR THE LIFE OF THE AUTOGRAPH(S). We give 12 months with a two party policy (meaning two separate authentication companies) that must be approved by Albersheim's. The buyer is financially responsible for any and all outside authentication that they choose to seek. After 12 months a merchandise credit can be issued if the autograph is not found to be genuine.

With over 25 years of collecting experience in the autograph field and having spent the past 20 years as a dealer of some of the world's rarest and most expensive autographs, Richard Albersheim is considered one of the industry's top autograph authenticators. With so many autographs being sold today that have turned out to be fake, who can you trust? The FBI recently busted a ring of several so-called dealers and confiscated over $100 million dollars in bogus autographed material. Many of these items were sold with certificates of authenticity from so-called forensic experts. Unfortunately, their forensic experience seemed to be in authenticating forged material.

Richard Albersheim has authenticated or consulted with some of the world's top auction houses and magazines. This list includes: Lelands, Sportico, Teletrade, and Sweet Spot Magazine. In addition, Richard has written in the past for the nation's leading memorabilia magazines, Sports Collector's Digest and Tuff Stuff Magazine.

We will never show favoritism to a dealer or collector. Albersheim always gives an unbiased opinion based on years in the field utilizing and extensive exemplar file, in addition to years of study of paper, inks, and photographic materials.

Our authentication fee ranges from $75-150 per item which entitles you to our Letter of Authenticity and a photo of your item. Your Fee also includes return shipping (UPS ground). Quantity discounts will be given at our discretion. If we can not give you a definite answer as to the authenticity of your item, you will only be charged $35 which will cover some of our time and return shipping.

We do not authenticate contemporary autographs.
